Terms of Hosting Service
These terms explain how MHost supplies hosting and related services through mhost.uk. By ordering, paying for or using a service, you agree to these terms together with any plan details shown at checkout or on your invoice. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
These pages are written in plain English to make billing, privacy and support expectations easier to understand before or after signup.
1. About the service
MHost supplies website hosting and related services such as email space, SSL, backups, migrations and support where included in the plan or otherwise agreed. Service features may vary by plan.
2. Orders and contract formation
A contract is normally formed when we accept your order and confirm activation or billing. We may refuse or cancel an order before activation if there is a pricing error, fraud concern, technical limitation or compliance issue.
3. Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate account and billing information, keep login details secure, use the service lawfully and make sure your use of the service does not harm our platform, network or other customers.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the service for unlawful activity, malware, phishing, abusive email activity, copyright infringement, unauthorised access attempts, spam or any content or behaviour that may disrupt the platform or other users.
5. Billing and renewals
Services are billed in advance on the billing cycle chosen at purchase. Unless otherwise agreed, services renew automatically so that hosting remains active without interruption. It is your responsibility to ensure valid payment details are available for renewal.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate services where fees remain unpaid, where there is misuse of the platform, where urgent technical or security action is required, or where continued service would put the platform, business or other customers at risk.
7. Backups and customer data
Where backups are included, they are provided as a convenience and not as the sole copy of your data. You remain responsible for keeping your own up-to-date copies of website, email and account data where that matters to your business.
8. Migrations
Where migration help is offered, timescales and scope depend on the source platform, access provided and technical compatibility. You remain responsible for checking that the migrated website or service is working correctly after completion.
9. Service availability
We aim to provide a stable and reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, third-party failures, internet issues, security incidents and events outside our control may affect uptime or access.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, MHost is not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business or loss of data arising from use of the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to services or terms
We may update services, features, pricing or these terms from time to time. The latest version published on this website applies from the date shown unless a later effective date is stated.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent using the contact details shown on mhost.uk.
